Delicious food, extremely attentive staff, and relaxing atmosphere! We love to come here. 5 stars!

Great, authentic food and amazing service. Highly recommended if you want Thai food in Edmonton.

Heard a lot of good things about the restaurant, but it was the other way when I tried the food. I am a vegetarian and could be a possibility that they serve great nonveg food

What a surprising and refreshing little spot! Def a new favourite for mum and I. BEST crab rangoon. BEST green curry and BEST pad thai. What else could you ask for? Really kind and chill staff/ownership, and the atmosphere makes you feel like you've escaped the grey landscape of Edmonton that surrounds it. Beautiful traditional plates and presentations, fresh ingredients, perfect fresh cooked temperatures, gorgeous traditional decor, and music too. Can't say enough good things!

Friendly service. I was disappointed with the food as this place has such good reviews. Ordered the pad si-iew and spring rolls. The noodles in the pad si-iew were all glued together and there was hardly any chicken. The spring rolls were lacking in flavor and the dipping sauce was chilli sauce that appeared to be mixed with water.

Food was authentic, fresh and delicious. Owner is very nice and helped my wife make a small menu adjustment to get Som Tum made Lao style. Nice small quiet homestyle food with alot of wonderful choices. Will be back for sure.

This restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the staff. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, perfect for a romantic dinner or a casual lunch with friends. The menu is extensive and filled with delicious options; we had a hard time deciding what to order because everything sounded so good. Our meals arrived promptly, and they were cooked to perfection. Each dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The service throughout the meal was attentive but not overbearing, and the waitstaff was knowledgeable about the menu. We left feeling satisfied and already planning our next visit. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience. The family that owns this restaurant is amazing as when I was in the restaurant a table of rude individuals sat themselves down and added a extra seat causing issues with space. The family was able to accommodate still and provide a great experience to these individuals even though they were rude.

If you open a restaurant, you should cook with care. None of the dishes here are authentic and they taste far from what they should. Adding more lemongrass, fish sauce and coconut milk can greatly improve the flavor. To be honest, authenticity isn’t always necessary, and it’s important to adapt to local tastes when opening a restaurant, but cooking must be done with care and respect for the food. There are many good fusion restaurants that have adapted well, such as Dorinku and Hanjan. The key is to cook with heart. Using cheap ingredients and rough cooking methods won’t do. Every time I see locals enjoying these so-called Asian dishes, I think they should really travel to Asia to taste the real thing. In response to your reply, I have updated my review and given your service one star. I am quite shocked by your insinuation that we did not follow your seating policy. When we arrived, we informed your waiter that we were a party of five. Despite the restaurant being quite empty with many available tables for four, we were still asked to wait for 20 minutes, which we did patiently. Later, the owner told us that we could sit at a table for four. When we asked the waiter to add an additional chair for our group, I don't know why he responded with impatience and an unwilling attitude. Your claim that we seated ourselves without being attended to is completely false and misleading. I think the person writing this response is the same waiter who served us, as there was only one staff member in the dining area at the time. Your attitude and response are very disappointing and make me uncomfortable. You need to be honest about what actually happened because this response is so disconnected from the fact that it’s laughable. Your attitude in the reply feels dismissive and implies that we are at fault for the negative review, which is far from the truth. Our dissatisfaction stems from the quality of the food, not the service alone. The dishes we had were not worth the price of $35 per person. The pineapple fried rice had only two pieces of pineapple and was not served in a hollowed-out pineapple as a container; the Tom Yum soup was unusually dark; and the curry lacked the essential flavors of lemongrass and coconut. Furthermore, the Pad Thai was overly wet and lacked the authenticity that even a quick-service restaurant like Thai Express offers. Instead of deflecting the criticism and trying to paint us in a negative light, I suggest you take the time to reflect on why a customer might leave with a bad impression. The quality of your food and the training of your staff need serious attention. Focusing on defensive replies to customer reviews will not help you in building a successful, long-term business. I hope you consider this constructive feedback seriously. Thank you for your time.

I discovered this restaurant on a Reddit post that highly recommended it and it did not disappoint! The crab Rangoon was light crunchy and creamy and the Tom Kah soup was the best I've ever had. The ingredients in everything were fresh and authentically prepared. The menu has a ton of variety and the portions will leave you full. The staff was very friendly and the Thai music and decor make you feel like you've left Edmonton. I will be recommending Thai valley grill to all my family and friends!

Really good food with pretty good service and nicer atmosphere than expected. We had the basil stir fry vegetables with tofu, pad Thai, and yellow curry. We asked for spicy and they definitely delivered on that so if you like spicy this place is for you. The Pad Thai was one of my favorites I've ever had and a really good size. There was a good amount of chicken and tasted both a little sweet and spicy. The yellow curry was also very good. For us the only so so dish was the basil vegetables stir fry. There wasn't enough basil and it barely tasted like anything. They don't include rice with any dishes either but a small bowl was enough for two people.

Lovely restaurant. Service was fast, food was great, and the price was reasonable.

My experience at Thai Valley Grill was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment I walked in, Mathew's service was exceptional, going above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was top-notch. Not only was the service outstanding, but the food exceeded all expectations. It arrived promptly, and every bite was bursting with flavor, truly unreal. Overall, the combination of impeccable service and mouthwatering dishes made for an unforgettable dining experience. I would highly recommend Thai Valley Grill to anyone looking for an exceptional meal with impeccable service.

An unfortunate experience with this nice little local restaurant last night. We like their salad rolls, but use more peanut sauce than they provide, so I requested more. I told them I was willing to pay for extra if necessary. I received 3 containers per order, but they were basically tasteless and poured like water. It was as if they took one little amount, added enough water to pour it into 3 containers instead of one, it was very a very disappointing experience, we will not be back.

The BEST Thai in Edmonton. Seriously cannot compare to others. They do everything right and make it taste amazing! My favorite menu items are the thai iced tea, salad rolls, pad thai, and the spicy eggplant with chicken and coconut rice. They do not disappoint!

Delicious, flavourful food served in really beautiful dishes! It‘s an intimate space that was packed when we arrived and when we left, and our server Matthew was great about suggesting dishes to round out our meal.

Red Thai peanut curry was delicious. Highly recommend it! Green curry was great, shrimp or chicken would be best choices. I loved the cultery & dishes. 😀

We had wonderful service from Matthew, highly recommend the chicken red peanut curry with the coconut rice. So delicious and the veggies were so fresh.

Loved finding this family run restaurant. Exactly the type of atmosphere you'd would find in SE Asia. Quaint, fast and authentic simple food and the owner is so hospitable. Make sure to save us some coconut rice next time 😡.

This is our first trip back to Thai Valley Grill since the Covid lockdown. My only regret is that we waited too long to return to this wonderful little Restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious, Everything is very well prepared, and the ingredients are fresh. We will not be waiting very long before our next visit.
